The Guardian (British) – May 3rd 2009

* Myth:  Profile picture caption: Shen Tong in New York﹐  Shen Tong at the offices of his software company VFinity, New York City. Photograph: Anna Schori

Fact: The picture was taken on the fire escape (“balcony” – which almost every Soho building has on the front of the buildings) outside my apartment, right above Broadway.

* Myth: Shen had been accepted to do a masters in biology at Brandeis University in Massachusetts

Fact:  Shen Tong was accepted as 3rd year undergraduate student by Brandeis to continue his study at Beijing University

* Myth: a misprint in “A completely self-righteous totalitarian regime is much worse than a technocrat-run authoritarian regime justifying its legitimacy by some means that’s close to human life, such as economic development.”

Fact:  What Shen Tong said was “… totalitarian regime is much worse than a technocrat-run authoritarian regime…” The Guardian Website corrected the mis-print on May 10th.
